Commitment to Child Safety & Wellbeing

Updated: June 2026.

At With Grace Therapy, we support children, young people, and families to work through life’s challenges, build on their strengths, and move toward meaningful goals. Our team of experienced allied health professionals including social workers, dietitians and psychologists provide warm, compassionate, and evidence-informed care to help families feel supported, connected, and empowered.

We are committed to promoting and protecting the safety, wellbeing, and rights of all children and young people who engage with our service. We believe every child and young person has the right to feel safe, respected, heard, and supported, and we strive to build trusting relationships where their voices are valued, and their wellbeing remains at the centre of everything we do.

We have zero tolerance for child abuse, neglect, exploitation, grooming, or any form of harm to children and young people. Any concerns, allegations, disclosures, or suspicions of harm are taken seriously and responded to promptly, respectfully, and in accordance with our legal and ethical obligations.

We recognise our responsibility to create and maintain environments where children and young people feel safe, valued, and empowered. We actively work to ensure our services are trauma-informed, culturally safe, accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the diverse needs of children, young people, and families.

We are committed to listening to children and young people and supporting their participation in decisions that affect them. We encourage them to express their views, raise concerns, and provide feedback, and we ensure they are informed about their rights and how to access support.

With Grace Therapy is committed to implementing and upholding the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations, including:

  1. Child safety and wellbeing are embedded in organisational leadership, governance, and culture.
  1. Children and young people are informed about their rights, participate in decisions affecting them, and are taken seriously.
  1. Families and communities are informed and involved in promoting child safety and wellbeing.
  1. Equity is upheld and diverse needs are respected in policy and practice.
  1. People working with children and young people are suitable and supported to reflect child safety and wellbeing values in practice.
  1. Processes for responding to complaints and concerns are child-focused and effective.
  1. Staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and awareness to keep children and young people safe.
  1. Physical and online environments promote safety and minimise opportunities for harm.
  1. Implementation of the Child Safe Standards is regularly reviewed and improved.
  1. Policies and procedures outline how the organisation ensures it is safe for children and young people.

All With Grace Therapy staff are expected to uphold these commitments and contribute to a culture of care, respect, and safety. We prioritise building trusting relationships where children and young people feel heard, supported, and valued, with their wellbeing at the centre of everything we do.
