WorkCover Queensland Psychology & Social Work Services
Supporting your Mental Health & Wellbeing recovery after a workplace Injury
At With Grace Therapy, we have support clients across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and Queensland who are recovering from work-related physical and psychological injuries.
If you have an accepted WorkCover Queensland claim (or are in the process of applying), you may be able to access psychology and social work therapy services funded by WorkCover to support your recovery, adjustment, and return to work.
WorkCover Queensland is the state’s workers’ compensation insurer. It provides support for eligible workers who experience a work-related injury or illness, including both physical and psychological injuries. This may include access to:
- Psychology, social work and counselling
- Adjustment to injury counselling
If your claim is accepted, WorkCover may fund psychological treatment to support your mental health, recovery, and return to work.
Our goal is to support you not only to “get back to work”, but to feel more grounded, safe, and supported in your day-to-day life.
We offer our therapy services in person at Kedron, Brisbane and Caloundra, Sunshine Coast. In addition to telehealth for anyone based in Queensland.
Accessing Early Mental Health Support Through WorkCover Queensland
WorkCover Queensland may fund early mental health treatment while a mental injury claim is being assessed, helping workers access support sooner rather than waiting for a claim outcome.
This can include appointments with a GP, counsellor, psychologist, psychiatrist, and some medication costs. To access this support, a WorkCover claim must be lodged and a work capacity certificate from a doctor must confirm a mental injury diagnosis.
More information can be found here.

Psychology and Social Work
Every WorkCover claim is different, but support often starts with a GP appointment. Your GP can assess your symptoms, complete a Work Capacity Certificate, and recommend psychological therapy as part of your treatment plan.
Once a WorkCover Queensland claim has been lodged, you can ask your GP, treating specialist, or WorkCover case manager to refer you to With Grace Therapy for psychology or social work support.
To book your first appointment, we usually need your WorkCover claim number, reason for referral, GP or case manager contact details, and a Work Capacity Certificate if available.
Approved sessions are usually billed directly to WorkCover, meaning there is no out-of-pocket cost while approved sessions are available.
For more information, contact WorkCover Queensland on 1300 362 128 or contact With Grace Therapy below.
