Supporting your Mental Health & Wellbeing recovery after a workplace Injury
At With Grace Therapy, we have support clients across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and Queensland who are recovering from work-related physical and psychological injuries.
If you have an accepted WorkCover Queensland claim (or are in the process of applying), you may be able to access psychology and social work therapy services funded by WorkCover to support your recovery, adjustment, and return to work.
WorkCover Queensland is the state’s workers’ compensation insurer. It provides support for eligible workers who experience a work-related injury or illness, including both physical and psychological injuries. This may include access to:
- Psychology, social work and counselling
- Adjustment to injury counselling
If your claim is accepted, WorkCover may fund psychological treatment to support your mental health, recovery, and return to work.
Our goal is to support you not only to “get back to work”, but to feel more grounded, safe, and supported in your day-to-day life.
We offer our therapy services in person at Kedron, Brisbane and Caloundra, Sunshine Coast. In addition to telehealth for anyone based in Queensland.

Accessing WorkCover funded
Psychology and Social Work
Every claim is a little different, but workers often follow a similar pathway to access support:
See your GP
Talk with your GP about your physical and/or psychological symptoms.
Your GP can issue a Work Capacity Certificate and may recommend psychological therapy to support as part of your treatment plan.
Lodge a WorkCover Queensland claim
You (or your employer) submit a claim to WorkCover Queensland for your work-related injury.
WorkCover will assess your claim and provide you with a claim number if it is accepted.
Ask to be referred to With Grace Therapy
You can ask your GP, treating specialist, or WorkCover case manager to refer you to With Grace Therapy for mental health support including psychology or social work services.
We are happy to talk with your GP or case manager about how our team can support your recovery.
Approval and bookings
Once WorkCover approves psychological treatment, we can book your appointments and the the following information is provided:
WorkCover claim number
Reason for referral
Contact details for GP or Case Manager
Work Capacity Certificate (Form 132), if available
In most cases, sessions are billed directly to WorkCover, so there is no out-of-pocket cost to you while you have approved sessions available.
