Accessing Counselling Through the National Redress Scheme in Queensland

If you have received an offer through the National Redress Scheme, you may be able to access funded counselling and psychological care.

In Queensland, eligible redress recipients can access at least 20 hours of counselling across their lifetime, with additional support available where needed. You may be able to continue with an existing therapist if they are eligible and registered or choose a therapist listed on the Trauma Support Directory. Learn more about counselling through the National Redress Scheme.

With Grace Therapy has a number of registered Redress Scheme therapists with extensive experience supporting people affected by childhood abuse, trauma and complex trauma.

Counselling may support you with:

  • The ongoing impacts of childhood trauma
  • Anxiety, shame, grief or anger
  • Relationships, trust and boundaries
  • Feeling safer and more settled in your body
  • Understanding trauma responses and finding ways to cope

Our approach focuses on you as the expert in your life and you are in control of what you share, what you want support with and the pace of therapy. You do not need to tell your whole story before you are ready.

With Grace Therapy provides trauma-informed counselling in Kedron, Caloundra and via telehealth. If you have received a Redress offer and would like to explore counselling with us, contact our team on 07 3558 6535. We can talk you through the next steps and check whether one of our therapists may be a suitable fit.
