About Amber

Meet Amber, an experienced therapist and Accredited Mental Health Social Worker who primarily works with adolescents and young adults, offering therapeutic support during critical periods of development, transition, and self-discovery. Amber is based at our Caloundra Therapy Clinic and has availability both in person and telehealth.

Often, Amber’s clients attend therapy feeling stuck in painful patterns of self-doubt, disconnection, and emotional overwhelm. These experiences are commonly linked to early relational wounds, complex interpersonal dynamics, or unresolved trauma. Amber provides a compassionate and grounded space to explore these challenges and support meaningful, lasting change.

Amber brings a neuroaffirming lens to her work, supporting neurodivergent clients who may experience masking, burnout, sensory sensitivity, identity confusion, or difficulties navigating relationships, study, and work. Her approach is collaborative and person-centred, respecting each individual’s lived experience and values.

You might be coming to therapy during a time when things feel confusing, heavy, or harder than they “should” be. You may find yourself constantly questioning yourself, feeling overwhelmed by emotions, or stuck in the same patterns despite trying your best. Therapy can be a space to slow things down, understand what’s been shaping these experiences, and begin finding ways forward that feel more aligned and steady.

Questions you may be asking yourself:

Why do I always feel like I’m not enough, even when I try so hard?
Why do I keep getting stuck in the same relationship patterns or hurtful dynamics?
How can I feel more grounded in my body and not constantly overwhelmed by it?
Why do I second-guess everything – my thoughts, my decisions, my identity?
How do I stop spiralling, overthinking, or catastrophising everything?

Drawing from a wide range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and somatic therapies. Amber tailors her support to each person’s individual needs.

Amber also provides supervision to social workers and counsellors.
